How long does it take for my order to arrive?

Wheels only: 4-7 business days Wheel & Tire Package: 14-21 business days While we make every effort to adhere to the following timelines for in-stock items, it's important to note that these are estimates and not guarantees. .

What about sales tax?

In the United States, all applicable state, county and local sales tax will be added to your order, except if shipping to AK, DC, DE, MT, NH, or OR. The tax calculated is an estimate and may be subject to change at time of shipping. We reserve the right to add sales tax where legally required. Sales or use tax is due on certain purchases delivered or sourced to Washington. Washington requires you to file a use tax return when sales tax is not paid at the time of purchase. This message is required under the Revised Code of Washington 82.13.020(2)(a)(i).

What if I found a lower price than you quoted?

If you've stumbled upon an amazing deal, we're happy to try and beat it! To do so, please provide us with a link to the actual webpage where the product is listed (not just the name of the site). While we make every effort to beat competitors' prices, there may be some instances where we are unable to do so. Please note that we cannot accept screenshots to match prices as we require verification of the pricing. To ensure an apples-to-apples comparison with your quote, we will need a link to the individual product page or full package listing, depending on whether you're purchasing just wheels/tires or a full wheel and tire setup. It's important to keep in mind that we are unable to match multiple individual listings for a full package purchase.

What is the proper torque for wheel installation?

For information on the torque specifications, please refer to your vehicle owner's manual or reach out to your local vehicle dealer. To ensure perfect centering, we suggest using hand tools when tightening the lugs. The use of power tools during installation should be avoided, as they may cause damage to the lugs and studs.

What does it mean when an item is on backorder?

At times, a backorder occurs due to a shortage of supply by the manufacturer. However, we have established direct relationships with manufacturers over the years, enabling us to reserve backordered items and secure positions for future stock. As a result, these items may be on backorder nationwide. The typical backorder period ranges from 4-6 weeks, although wait times may vary depending on factors such as manufacturing schedules and product demand. If you're unable to wait for your backordered item, we can assist you in confirming availability and updating your order to an in-stock or available product. Please contact us via the Contact Us page, selecting the Backorders option, and provide us with your invoice number and a link to the item you wish to switch to. Our team will be happy to assist you.

Why did I receive only part of my order?

In certain instances, we may ship an order in multiple packages, depending on the items ordered. Your tracking information can be found on your order page. This is done to ensure that you receive your entire order as quickly as possible. For instance, the manufacturer may ship a set of wheels directly to you, while our warehouse ships out the accompanying accessories. This method avoids wasting time shipping the wheels to our warehouse and then back out to you in one shipment.

My order arrived with shipping damage. What should I do?

Before signing any documents upon delivery or pick up at a local terminal, please inspect the complete wheel and tire package thoroughly. If any damage is detected, be sure to make detailed notes on the documents (Bill of Lading) BEFORE signing and accepting the shipment. If you intend to exchange damaged items for replacements, do not install them. While we take every precaution to ensure secure packaging of our products before shipping, damage can sometimes occur due to the size and complexity of shipping large packages across the country. In case of damage caused by the shipping courier, you qualify for a replacement and/or credit only if all damage is noted with the courier before signing the documents (Bill of Lading). Failure to do so absolves the courier of all liability, and we must initiate a damage claim, which may result in reimbursement, depending on the outcome. To address any concerns related to damaged shipments, please contact us via the Contact Us Page (topic Order Support), providing your invoice number and pictures of the damage for our team to assist you.

What should I do if I have vibrations?

Please keep in mind that we are fellow truck and car enthusiasts who have experienced many of the issues you may encounter. We understand that some natural vibration may occur due to the pounding of the tread hitting the ground, especially if you've recently installed larger mud tires on your truck. However, if you experience a strong vibration or pull that seems out of the ordinary, please don't hesitate to contact us using the Contact Us Page (topic Order Support) with your invoice number and an explanation of the issue. Our team is always here to help resolve any issues you may have. Balance Beads – Please note that balance beads are not guaranteed. While we use the most exceptional and up-to-date weight charts to ensure we are installing the correct amount of beads for your specific application, we are unable to account for all possible variables. While it is extremely rare, some wheel and tire assemblies simply do not balance out perfectly with this type of balancing technique and we are unable to confirm this until the assembly is mounted onto the vehicle. If you are having any issues at all, please let us know and we will be here to help!

What should I do if I have a warranty concern?

The manufacturer's warranty covers all wheels and tires, and we are always happy to assist with any questions you may have about a specific product's warranty. However, please be aware that Wheel Universe will only cover the costs associated with warranty claims up to 30 days from the delivery date. After this 30-day period, any costs involved in making a warranty claim will be the responsibility of the customer. To start a wheel or tire warranty claim, visit our Warranty Center. If your order was delivered with damage or any other issues, feel free to Contact Us using the Order Support topic.

Why is there a mark or blemish on the backside of my wheel?

The industry standard among wheel manufacturers considers minor markings, blemishes, or flaws on the backside of a wheel to be acceptable. It is common to find wheels with such imperfections in the aftermarket industry. However, each wheel undergoes strict quality control testing by the manufacturer to ensure that its performance and structural integrity are not compromised, and any flaws would not affect the wheel's functionality when in use. All the wheels we carry are subject to the same rigorous testing to guarantee optimal performance and structural strength. Many of the manufacturers we work with comply with the JWL and VIA standards, with some developing their own tests that exceed these standards. These tests include rotary bending fatigue tests to evaluate hub durability, impact tests to assess overall wheel strength, or cornering fatigue tests to verify structural integrity after a tire is mounted. Before shipping, each wheel is tested, inspected, and approved by the manufacturer to ensure its quality meets the required standards. All wheels come with full warranty coverage provided by the manufacturer, including those with backside blemishes.

Fitment

What does free mount and balance include? Do you install them on my vehicle?

We offer a complimentary mounting and balancing service for each wheel and tire package purchased from our store. Our team of professionals will mount the tires onto the wheels using advanced equipment and ensure that they are balanced perfectly. We use stick-on weights as the standard for balancing the wheels, and we provide standard chrome valve stems with every order. Additionally, we offer other balancing options such as balance beads, which can be selected during checkout for an extra charge. Please note that our mounting and balancing service does not include installation of the wheels and tires onto your vehicle. We strongly advise seeking professional installation from a qualified technician to ensure proper fitting and optimal performance. Our commitment to quality is reflected in the services we offer, and we take pride in providing the best possible experience for our customers.

Do you guarantee fitment?

Our guarantee ensures that the correct bolt pattern will be shipped based on the year, make, and model provided by the customer. However, if additional specifications such as offset or size are needed for a proper fit, we suggest consulting with one of our wheel specialists for confirmation. It's always advisable to conduct a full test fit of the new wheel prior to installation to ensure proper fitment and avoid any issues.

Fitment is the responsibility of the Customer. If you don’t know, PLEASE ask.

We understand that some of our customers may want to push the boundaries with their wheel/tire combinations and make modifications to their vehicles to achieve the desired look. While we fill orders as they are placed, we strongly recommend that you perform a test fit of the new wheel/tire combo before finalizing the installation. To ensure accurate fitment, it is essential to provide us with accurate vehicle information, including the year, make, model, and version (if applicable). This information helps us verify the bolt pattern of your wheels, select the correct TPMS and lugs, and guarantee their functionality. While we guarantee the correct fitment of the bolt pattern and functionality of TPMS and lugs, we cannot guarantee fitment on custom drilled wheels. In such cases, if the manufacturer makes a mistake, we will work with them to find a solution. If you have any questions regarding fitment on lowered, bagged, or stock applications, or if you need recommendations on what may work for your vehicle, please visit our Contact Us page, and we will do our best to assist you. Please note that some oversized tires or wide/high negative offset wheels may require minor trimming to fit, and we cannot guarantee fitment on all vehicles or applications. In such cases, we will inform you before you make a purchase.

What is a test fit?

To ensure proper wheel fitment and avoid any damage, it is important to follow these steps for test fitting: Firmly hand tighten the lugs to secure the wheel for test fitting. It is important to not use power tools. Basic Fitment: Confirm that the studs line up with the bolt pattern and that the wheel sits flat on the mounting surface. Test fit every lug by hand to ensure that the threading lines up with your studs. Brake Caliper, Inner Valve Stem, & Wheel Weight Clearance: Visually inspect the wheel to ensure that there is no contact with the caliper, inner valve stem, or wheel weights (if balanced). Slowly spin the wheel by hand and make sure that every section has enough clearance. It is crucial to identify any interference before completing installation. Lower the Vehicle: Place cardboard under the front tires and lower your vehicle. This will protect the tire in the next step when turning your wheel. If items show signs of being driven on or visible damage, they cannot be returned. Suspension, Fender, & Wheel Well Clearance: Once your tires are on the cardboard, check for fender, suspension, and overall clearance of each wheel. Slowly turn the steering wheel fully to the left and inspect clearance along the way. Keep an eye on tire clearance as well as any possible contact with the suspension components. Repeat the process turning to the right. Note: Suspension will compress while driving which may change the overall clearance. Finalize your installation before driving by fully torquing the lugs to vehicle specs using hand tools. Please note that any product that has been damaged, driven on, or used cannot be returned, including mounted tires on Wheel Only orders.

What if my purchase doesn't fit?

If the product you have purchased does not fit as expected, you can initiate a return. However, please note that you may be responsible for the return costs, as well as a restocking fee unless the return is a result of our company's error. We take full responsibility for any mistakes made on your order and will work with you to resolve the issue. It is important to note that fitment is the customer's responsibility, and all returned products must be in new condition without any signs of usage or damage. It is crucial to identify any fitment issues during the test fit process before driving. We always recommend that you carefully test fit your new products by mounting the wheels/tires onto your vehicle and spinning them by hand to ensure a proper fit without any issues.

I put my year, make, and model into the website, and I purchased what came up, why doesn't it fit?

We rely on the information provided by our customers to confirm the bolt pattern, but we cannot assure perfect fitment. Although our website is an excellent resource for estimating fitment, each vehicle owner customizes their ride in unique ways to accommodate components beyond the stock specifications. Therefore, while one vehicle may run a wheel or tire without difficulty, another similar vehicle with slightly different modifications may encounter complications. If you are unsure about fitment, we advise contacting our fitment specialists for their expertise.

Accessories (Lugs, TPMS, Center Caps & More)

Will My Order Come With Center Caps, Lugs, And TPMS Sensors?

If the wheels come with center caps, they will be included in your purchase. If you're unsure about it, don't hesitate to ask. A chrome lug set costs $45 (shipping is free if you order it together with your wheel purchase). This set includes all the lugs required, four locking lugs with a key, and four chrome valve stems with chromies. When installing the wheels, make sure to hand-torque the lugs in a star pattern. Avoid using power tools as they can damage the lugs or studs. TPMS sensors are available for an additional fee. For wheel and tire packages, the cost includes the installation of the sensors at no charge before shipping. Please be aware that certain vehicle models or sensors may require re-programming to sync with the new sensors. This can be done easily at an auto dealer or repair shop.

What is TPMS?

TPMS is an acronym that stands for Tire Pressure Monitoring System. It is a tiny device that is installed on the inner surface of a vehicle's wheel, inside the tire. The TPMS constantly monitors the tire pressure of each tire and sends that information to the vehicle's onboard computer system. This system will then activate a warning light on the dashboard if one or more of the tires are underinflated or overinflated. This helps drivers to quickly identify any issues with their tire pressure and take appropriate action to correct it. Proper tire pressure is important for maintaining good traction, improving fuel efficiency, and extending the life of the tires. The TPMS is a valuable safety feature that can help prevent accidents caused by tire blowouts or other issues related to improper tire pressure.

How do I sync my TPMS?

TPMS sensors typically synchronize with your vehicle automatically after driving about 50 miles. However, in some cases, manual synchronization may be necessary. We recommend visiting a reputable wheel and tire shop that has the necessary equipment to perform this task. Avoid going to a dealership as they may not have the equipment to read aftermarket sensors. If you need a replacement TPMS, please contact us using the Order Support topic for further assistance.

How do I tell if TPMS were installed?

To determine if your wheels/tires have TPMS installed, you can easily check the valve stems. If you see a black rubber sleeved valve stem with a gold valve under the cap, then TPMS is likely installed. On the other hand, if you see a chrome sleeve valve stem, then there is no TPMS installed.

Why did I receive open lugs with my order?

It is possible that we may have replaced the closed lugs you ordered with open lugs due to the center cap on your wheel. If a lug-covering center cap cannot be installed securely with closed lugs, we will ship the package with open lugs instead.

Why did I receive chrome lugs with my order?

If you ordered black lugs but received chrome lugs instead, it is possible that we made the switch based on the center cap of your wheel. If the center cap completely covers the lugs, we may have opted for chrome lugs instead. If you plan on running your wheels without center caps or prefer black lugs, please contact us through the Contact Us page.

What is the difference between lug nuts and lug bolts?

It is important to understand the difference between lug nuts and lug bolts, especially when purchasing an aftermarket option. Lug nuts are threaded onto existing lug nut studs and are commonly used on Domestic and Japanese import cars. On the other hand, lug bolts are prevalent in European cars and are complete bolts that thread into the hub of the vehicle instead of a nut that goes onto a bolt. If you are unsure which to order, our experts can assist you by selecting the appropriate lug nut or bolt based on the information you provide about your vehicle.

Will the center cap work with my manual hubs?

Every set of wheels that we offer comes with standard center caps, although there may be a few exceptions. However, please note that these standard, closed center caps may not fit over larger, manual hubs. Depending on the specific wheels you have ordered, the manufacturer may offer alternative center caps, such as larger or open caps, or cap extenders. Please contact us so that we can help you explore your options and work with the manufacturer to find a suitable solution.

Do I need hub rings?

The hub bore is the opening in the center of the wheel that fits onto the hub of your car. Most wheels are mass-produced with a larger hub bore to fit as many vehicle models as possible. If there is a larger gap between the hub bore and the hub, hub rings may be necessary to center the wheel while tightening the lugs. Using hub rings, also known as centering rings or hub centric rings, can solve vibration problems. These rings are usually made of hard plastic and serve the purpose of centering the wheel during installation. Once the lugs are tightened, the rings spin freely and are no longer necessary. Even when the wheels and tires are balanced, vibrations can occur if the wheel is not centered properly.

What is your Return Policy?

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any issues or questions regarding returns. We always work closely with our customers to ensure their satisfaction with their purchases. However, please keep in mind that most of our items require a significant amount of effort to get to you and we need to recover these costs unless we are at fault. All returns are subject to a restocking fee that depends on the items ordered and the manufacturer. Typically, the restocking fee is between 10-25%, but some products may carry a higher restocking fee due to vendor contracts and shipping expenses. If you have any questions regarding returns, please contact us. Please note that all returned items must be approved in advance, so please contact us to set up a return authorization. If the product has been confirmed to be in original condition, your order will be refunded via the original payment method. Individual Product Orders: Please inspect all products for damage before attempting to use them. You are responsible for test fitting wheel-only orders on your vehicle before having tires mounted. Once tires have been mounted, we are unable to accept returns, even if there is a fitment problem. Tires with mileage on them cannot be returned. Package Orders: For package purchases, you are responsible for test fitting before driving on any products. Once wheels/tires have been mounted on the vehicle, we are unable to accept returns. Please notify us immediately if you have any concerns because we move quickly. Suspension & Accessories: All suspension/accessory items being returned that are not warranty-related cannot have been installed or attempted to be installed. If we receive a return that shows signs of installation, we will not be able to accept the item and will return it to the sender with no credit issued.

Why do I have to pay for a restocking fee on my return?

Restocking fees are applied to larger items due to the significant amount of resources required to process a return. Our team needs to set up the return, clean and inspect each item thoroughly, and restock it back into our inventory. If a return is being sent back to the supplier or manufacturer, restocking fees may be enforced by them to cover their own costs of cleaning, inspecting, and restocking the item.

My order arrived with shipping damage. What should I do?

Please inspect your complete wheel and tire package carefully before signing any documents upon delivery or pick up at a local terminal. In case of any damage, please make sure to take detailed notes on the documents (Bill of Lading) before signing and accepting the shipment. Do not attempt to install any damaged items if you would like to exchange them for replacement products. While we take great care in packaging everything securely before shipping, the size and complexity of shipping large packages across the country means that damage can sometimes occur during transit. Therefore, it is imperative to note all damage with the shipping courier before signing the documents (Bill of Lading). If the damage is not noted upon receipt, the courier is not liable, and we must open a damage claim and see it through to completion before any reimbursement (if applicable) can be provided for the damages. To report any damage, please use the Contact Us Page (topic Order Support) with your invoice number and pictures of the damage so our team can assist you.

What should I do if I have vibrations?

Please keep in mind that we are car and truck enthusiasts and understand firsthand some of the issues that can arise. We are committed to doing everything we can to resolve any issues you may experience. However, it's important to note that if you've installed large mud tires on your truck, you may naturally feel some vibration due to the tread hitting the ground. If you experience an excessive vibration or pull, please reach out to us through the Contact Us Page (under the topic of Order Support) with your invoice number and an explanation of your issue so our team can assist you. Regarding balance beads, please note that while we use the latest weight charts to determine the appropriate amount of beads for your specific application, we cannot guarantee perfect balance for all wheel and tire assemblies. In some rare cases, this balancing technique may not work as well as expected, and we won't be able to confirm this until the assembly is mounted on your vehicle. If you encounter any issues, please don't hesitate to contact us, and we will be happy to help.

What should I do if I have a warranty concern?

The manufacturer provides a comprehensive warranty for all wheels and tires. If you have any questions about the warranty for a particular item, please don't hesitate to ask us. It's important to note that Wheel Universe will cover the expenses associated with warranty claims within the first 30 days of delivery. After that point, the customer will be responsible for the costs associated with the warranty claim. To initiate a warranty claim for a wheel or tire, please visit our Warranty Center. If your delivery has any damages or other problems, please don't hesitate to contact us using the Order Support topic.

Why is there a mark or blemish on the backside of my wheel?

According to industry standards for wheel manufacturing, it is considered acceptable to have minor markings, blemishes, or flaws on the backside of the wheel. This is a common occurrence in the aftermarket industry, and each wheel must pass quality control standards set by the manufacturer. These flaws do not affect the wheel's performance and are not visible to the naked eye once the wheel is in use. All wheels sold by us undergo rigorous testing to ensure they meet high standards for performance and structural integrity. Many of our wheels pass both JWL and VIA standards, and some manufacturers have even developed their own additional standards to ensure exceptional quality. The testing process includes various assessments, such as rotary bending fatigue tests to evaluate hub durability, impact tests to test overall wheel strength, and cornering fatigue tests to confirm structural integrity once a tire is mounted. Each wheel is inspected and approved by the manufacturer before shipping and comes with full warranty coverage provided by the manufacturer. If you have any questions about a specific product's warranty, please don't hesitate to ask us.

Yes! If you're looking to purchase a single wheel or tire, please reach out to us with the product information and your year, make, and model.

Metric vs. Standard bolt patterns

The majority of bolt patterns are measured in millimeters but some are also labeled by standard measurement in inches.
For example, a 6x139.7 bolt pattern is equivalent to a 6x5.5 bolt pattern. The only difference is that one is measured in 139.7 millimeters and the other is 5.5 inches.
Here are some other bolt patterns commonly labeled in inches:
5x4.5 equals 5x114.3
5x5 equals 5x127
5x5.5 equals 5x139.7

What are dual-drilled wheels?

A dual-drilled wheel is a wheel that is drilled with two sets of bolt patterns. By doing so, this allows the wheel to fit a much wider range of vehicles. An example would be a 6x5.5 and 6x135 wheel, which would have twelve holes. A dual drilled wheel is equally as safe/strong as single drill wheels and passes the same rigorous durability testing by the manufacturer.

What is a wheel offset?

Wheel offset measures the distance between the center of the wheel and the mounting surface. This results in a positive, negative, or zero offset.Offset is the relation between the mounting surface of the wheel and the centerline of the wheel. When the mounting surface of the wheel is in front of the centerline, that means the wheel has a positive offset. When the mounting surface of the wheel is behind the centerline, that means the wheel has a negative offset. When the mounting surface of the wheel is directly on the centerline, that means the wheel has +0mm offset. Wheels with positive offset tend to stay sunken into the wheel wells. Wheels with Negative offset tend to stick out past the vehicle's fenders. If the offset is lower than the vehicle’s stock offset range, the wheel will stick further out compared to stock.

How do I measure the offset?

Wheel offset measures the distance between the center of the wheel and the mounting surface. This results in a positive, negative, or zero offset. If the offset is lower than the vehicle’s stock offset range, the wheel will stick further out compared to stock. If the offset of the wheel is lower than the stock offset range, the wheels will stick out compared to stock fitment. The lower the offset, the further the wheels will stick out. The offset is often printed on the backside of a wheel spoke next to the letters ET.

What is backspacing?

Backspacing measures the distance between the inner edge of the wheel and the mounting face of the wheel. Decreased backspacing will result in more inside wheel clearance to reduce risk of the wheel rubbing the brakes or suspension.

What is the difference between directional and non-directional wheels?

This is a question we get a lot. The answer is quite simple. If the wheel is a forged wheel or it is listed as directional, it’ll be true directional. This means that two wheels will have a design flowing in one direction and the other pair flows the opposite direction. The result is all four wheel designs flowing the same direction once installed on your vehicle.
One-piece cast wheels will typically have identical wheel face designs which means that, once they’re installed, the design will flow one direction on the passenger side and the opposite on the driver side. But heck, most people don’t notice this stuff and you can save a bunch of money doing a one-piece cast.

What is the difference between an AT, MT, and RT tire?

When it comes to buying new tires, it’s usually between one of three options: all terrain, mud terrain, and the new rugged terrain. All Terrain, AT, is a great option for vehicles that handle a decent amount of off-roading but still get regular use on the street. Mud Terrain, MT, tires sport a more aggressive tread to help move mud and gain traction but they come with more weight and increased road noise. Rugged Terrain, RT, is typically a blend of both AT and MT features to offer something slightly more aggressive than an all terrain but not quite as loud as a mud terrain.

How can I tell if my tires are directional and properly mounted?

Tires that are designed to be mounted in a specific direction are called directional tires. These tires will have a rotation arrow imprinted on the sidewall to indicate the direction in which they should rotate.
